Throughout the 2006 ITA Leadership Council, there will be incredible opportunities to learn from leaders in the Indoor Tanning industry. Focused on the needs and concerns of today’s salon owners and managers, these educational opportunities will present valuable information and lead to exciting discussions with fellow ITA members.

ITA president Dan Humiston and ITA Executive Director John Overstreet will lead the State of the Industry panel, an interactive discussion on issues affecting the Indoor Tanning industry.

Dave Barnitt, a leading authority on corporate finance and investment and founder of Attract Capital, LLC, will present “Strengthen Your Business with Private Equity Growth Capital,” a program aimed at owners seeking to raise capital. His talk will narrow the communication gap that many business owners have when dealing with investors and help you understand the investor psychology and thought process.

Akin Gump partner, Dan McInnis will address Federal Trade Commission issues in “How Can We Appropriately Support Health and Wellness Claims.”

In his session, “Sunlight and Radiation for Health: A D-Lightful Story,” one of the world’s foremost experts on Vitamin D and the benefits of UV exposure, Michael Holick, Ph.D., Director, Genera Clinical Research of Boston University’s School of Medicine will address the importance of scientific investigation to support the growing body of evidence that sensible exposure to sunlight or ultraviolet radiation has important health benefits.
